After School Program

The after school program of the Village provides children a home away from home. Here young children receive nurturing care form volunteers and from two paid staff members.

The program offers help with homework. Each child receives individualized attention from volunteers and paid staff. The program teaches character education and values. Children also particpate in service projects visiting the elderly for example.

The program seeks to broaden the life experience of children by providing off-site field trips and visits. These trips can be something as simple as bowling, or as special as a visit to the Charleston Aquarium. This year our goal is to take the children to Disney World.
